Lost

What a perfect name for a television show: Lost.  That’s exactly how I feel right now, while I watch the premiere.

I have one complaint: it took too long between the end of last season and the begin of this one.  I needed a review session and I didn’t have the inclination and/or time to watch the first hour-long special.

So, my first big question is: Locke turns into the black smoke??!!!  WTF?!!!  Or, is Locke supposed to BE the island?

Next question: why are there two different but concurrent story lines going on?  As if what is going on the island isn’t confusing enough!

When did Locke turn evil?  Or is the black smoke using Locke’s body and Locke himself is really dead?

I should be paying attention right now…it’s the scene with Locke and Ben.

He wants to go home???!!! Where exactly is home for a bunch of black smoke?

OH, I KNOW!!! My kitchen!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.  Just kidding!

More questions: where the hell did the temple people come from?

Why is Sayid dead if Jacob said bringing him to the temple would help him?

During the entire series run, I only disliked one season, but since it has been so long, I can’t remember which one that is!

I like the idea that these people lived difficult lives before their fateful flight but while on the island, they’re kind of redeemed.

I like that the writers make you wonder and guess what the hell is going on from week to week.

Lost is a show that others are trying to replicate, but nothing ever comes close to the original.

I have to pause now, just to watch the end of the first episode of the last season…

Cool.  Sayid is not dead.

So, as I was saying, the greatest of this show is the not-knowing-what-the-hell-is-happening-ness of it.

Of course, now I have to wait a frigging week to find out what is next!
